The driver and their dispatch didn't inform us.
We didn't notice until tonight, Saturday 21,2023, when we needed to take out our garbage from our two buildings.
REPUBLIC GARBAGE DRIVERS
Once again on Thursday, January 12,2023, the drivers didn't pick up our 1-yard dumpster. I believe it is wrong that we are forced to do business with Republic Services and the monopoly they hold on us in Salem, Oregon. The difference between the 2 garbage companies is night and day. I have spent hours on hold on the phone and have had to take our business garbage home to use our Pacific Sanitation service. Mind you, Republic did nothing but promise us a "site review" over and over without that ever happening. We buy the locks 4 at a time because the dumpster divers break a lock every other week. Recently, we have fabricated steel paddle locks hasps on the dumpster and provided our own locks. As a small business, we are mostly ignored and our services are not performed as paid for. Sometimes it has been because the homeless has turned our dumpster over or simply made a mess and scattered the garbage. There have been numerous tomes where the truck drivers have not picked up our dumpster. I have spent hours calling and complaining about the garbage service at my business. You might want to consider another option when it comes to trash collection Needless to say, I called the customer service line where I was on hold for 20 minutes before I dropped. They added a $5 late fee to my next bill. No direction on went wrong with the autopayment. Within a few months, I get notice that my scheduled payment didn't go through so I needed to pay my bill directly.
I set up auto pay when I initiated the service. Second issue is with their auto-payment service. My neighbors and I picked up the trash after waiting for an hour because the debris continue to spread down the street. In one instance, they left almost an entire cans worth of trash in street for 4 hours.

I hoped having a national company and paying a premium for service would lead to better service and higher level of professional but it has not been the case.įirst Issue, They have repeated left half of the trash in my can (operator moving to fast IMO) and having trash fall outside of the truck. Over the year, there have been a couple of issues that I find a frustrating as one of their customers. I've been a Republic Services (RS) for a year now.
